I will most likely cry of joy, and hug everyone around. Following that though, given the changes we’ve adapted to, I will continue to keep many of the silver linings that came out of this time like cooking with my kids, enjoying my yard, being grateful for every single day, stop sweating the small stuff…..and then – I will go to Home Goods….yep, Home Goods.

I’ll have reinvented myself. I don’t miss the life I had before COVID-19, just glimpses of it, shades of it. And the first thing I’ll do will be honouring the life I’m living right now.

I will visit my 91 year old mother. . . And then I want to travel again. Most of all I will quit worrying… worrying about dying and death and being alone, or hearing about some who have died alone.

The kiss, such a simple expression of love, I miss that carefree kiss. My boyfriend is an essential worker, he goes out into the world daily and interacts with many people outside of our home, not because he has to but because he is dedicated to keeping our country moving. Nervous to kiss lately we pucker up and make the noise instead. I can’t wait until this pandemic is over so we can make up for all the lost kisses!
